DUSSELDORF, JANUARY 25, NOYAN TAPAN. The UEFA congress will be held in the city of Dusseldorf, Germany, on January 25-26. Armenian Football Federation Chairman Ruben Hayrapetian and Executive Director Armen Minasian will also take part in the works. The main issue to be discussed was the UEFA Chairman's election. There are two candidates: present Chairman Lennart Johansson (Norway) who heads that structure for 12 years, and legendary football player Michel Platini (France). It is possible that the issue concerning holding of the Armenia-Azerbaijan games of the Euro-2008 group tournament will also be discussed. The meetings are scheduled by the competition table for September 8 and 12. It is envisaged to honour great football master Nikita Simonian with UEFA Ruby order for the valuable service in football.
