YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, NOYAN TAPAN. There is much to be done in the issue of regulating citizen-state interrelations, the ombudsman of the RA Armen Harutyunian stated at the September 25 press conference to summarize the results of his 8-month activities. In his words, the examination of complaints filed to the RA ombudsman shows that a considerable part of the population feels alienated from the state. Among measures to be taken in this direction, A. Harutyunian pointed out observance of ethics rules by employees of public bodies in their relations with citizens, strengthening the real independence of the judicial system and overcoming citizens' mistrust of judges, ensuring the fulfilment of decisions and rulings made by the Constitutional Court and the common jurisdiction courts, elimination of legislative shortcomings and contradictions.
