ECUMENIC MEETING IN WITTENBERG

ETCHMIADZIN, FEBRUARY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. The 2nd regional
Ecumenic meeting following the Third European Ecumenic Assembly
being organized by the Conference of European Churches will take
place on February 15-19 in the city of Lutherstadt-Wittenberg,
Germany. The theme is "The light of Christ shines upon all. Hope
renewal and unity in Europe."
The meeting will discuss issues relating to the Third
European Ecumenic Conference to take place on September 4-9 in
the city of Sibu, Romania. Meeting participants will also touch
upon issues concerning widening of the European Union,
overcoming of violence and solidarity in Europe, cooperation of
Ecumenism and Churches.

His Grace Bishop Nathan Hovhannisian, the Primate of the
Armenian Diocese of England, will present the Armenian Apostolic
Surb (Saint) Church at the Wittenberg meeting, with
sanctification of Karekin II Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of
All Armenians.
