YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. The 2007-2011 medium term program on construction of transport nodal points, highways and pedestrian crossings was developed by Yerevan Mayor's Office. Chief Architect of Yerevan Samvel Danielian stated at the February 12 press conference that construction of the first transport nodal point will start this year. Particularly, underground motorways will be constructed in the section from Khanjian Street to the Rossia Trade Center and from Vardanants Street to Khanjian Street-Main Avenue. S. Danielian said that by late 2007 pedestrian subways will be constructed at the crossroads of Nalbandian-Isahakian-Alek Manukian Streets, in Isakov Street, and Myasnikian Avenue. According to the chief architect, work on construction of the high-speed road without traffic lights along Khanjian-Sayat Nova-Heratsi Streets will begin soon and finish in 2008. S. Danielian said that it is envisaged to build a pedestrian crossings at the Koryun-Nalbandian-Charent-Heratsi transport nodal point.
