YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA Prosecutor's General Office Investigation Department finished preliminary investigation of the criminal action brought on the fact of false treachery during the examination of the murder of Shahen Hovasapian, the State Tax Service Investigation Department Chief. As the Prosecutor's General Press Secretary informed the Noyan Tapan correspondent, it was found out and grounded by the preliminary investigation that, to take vengeance, Gevorg Gevorgian, an action officer of the Davitashen Department of the RA Police presented false treachery and accused Sahak Arsenian and Zhirayr Hayrapetian of murder. Reaching preliminary agreement with Captain Artavazd Melikian, the Deputy Chief of the Bagratashen Pass Control Office of the RA NSS Border Guard, G.Gevorgian prepared an anonymous letter for presenting it to a body having competence to bring a criminal action: presumable circumstances of S.Arsenian's and Zh.Hayrapetian's getting an explosive and committing murder were mentioned in the letter. On the days followed Sh.Hovasapian's murder, G.Gevorgian dropped that letter into the letterbox of the Embassy of Italy. And A.Melikian gave false information concerning the information source. Based on got evidences, G.Gevorgian was accused according to Point 1 of Article 333 Part 2, Article 268 Part 1 and Article 271 Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, and A.Melikian was accused according the 1st Point of Article 333 Part 2. Arrest was chosen as precautionary measures towards them. The criminal action was sent to the Courts of First Instance of the communities of Kentron and Nork Marash, Yerevan.
