ARTASHAT, JUNE 21, NOYAN TAPAN. The Public Defenders' Union (PDU) initiated a series of practical trainings dedicated to settlement of public services and participation of public organizations in that process. Representatives of the Regional Governor's Office and the Artashat Mayor's Office, different public organizations as well as of public services gathered on June 20 at the Ararat Regional Governor's Office for that purpose. Aram Grigorian, the PDU Executive Director and Nelli Torosian, a member of the union informed that the Union is a unity of NGOs which joined to assist security of transparency in the public sphere, awareness of the society in the process being implemented and protection of users' interests. They attached importance to participation of the society and its involvement in the affair of settlement of the public sphere and joint solution of problems. According to researches implemented by the PDU, lack of awareness concerning the sphere arises numerous problems among users, including financial, technical and legal ones. It was mentioned that relations not regulated among companies of public service and users become a basis for violation of users' rights and other negative phenomena. So, the PDU attempts to inform representatives of marz authorities, local self-government bodies, companies of public service, NGOs about peculiarities of public services, to present ways of economic settlement of the sphere, provider's and user's rights and obligations.
