YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. 560 applications for loans on cencessional terms to be given to repressed persons and their direct heirs for house construction are now registered at the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Issues. 113 applications were submitted in 2005. Anahit Gevorgian, deputy head of the ministry's department on problems of the disabled and elderly, told NT correspondent that about 40 bids for loan funding are submitted each year to the RA Ministry of Finance and Economy. According to her, 80 repressed persons have been provided with loans in the amount of 2-5 mln drams (4.4-11.1 thousand USD) so far. A. Gevorgian said that under the RA Law on Repressed Persons, such persons also receive one time compensation of 12 thousand drams. About 200 repressed persons are eligible for a one time compensation annually.
