YEREVAN, February 10 (Noyan Tapan). On February 9, birthday of one of the greatest Armenian poets, Vahan Terian, the members of the "Terian" cultural center, literary critics, representatives of intelligentsia and pupils paid a tribute of their respect to the memory of the great poet in the Yerevan pantheon after Komitas. According to Arushan Hakobian, Director of the "Terian" cultural center, starting from February 9 a series of events dedicated to the 120th birth anniversary of the poet begin. On the initiative of the center the events dedicated to Terian will take place not only in Armenia, but also in Artsakh, Javakhk and Spyurk. On April 1, an exhibition dedicated to Terian will open in the Painters' Union of Armenia with participation of painters of Artsakh, as well as the full collection of works and letters of Terian will be republished. A.Hakobian also said that the center will set up a named scholarship after Terian in Yerevan State University. The students receiving the scholarship will be selected by a competition.
