VARDAN MINASIAN APPOINTED ARMENIAN NATIONAL YOUTH FOOTBALL

YEREVAN, April 15 (Noyan Tapan). Vardan Minasian is appointed head coach of the Armenian national U-19 team of football. Before this appointment Mikhai Stoikitsa, Romanian specialist, occupied this position. The terms of his working contract in Armenia has expired. According to the Press Office of the Armenian Football Federation, the newly appointed head coach of the U-19 team played for Pyunik in 1992-98. In 1998-2000, he played for Lokomotiv, St. Petersburg. On returning to Armenia, he joined Pyunik in 2001-2003. In 2003-2004, Minasian worked as a coach for Pyuniik. He has also played for the the Armenian youth (1994-96) and national squats (1996-97 and 2001-03).
