The Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) is a Paris based non-profit working to support the Protected Areas (PA’s) of the Caucasus. CNF works in partnership with the government and provides support through a framework of grants, covering operating costs such as salaries, vehicles, equipment and renewal and maintenance of park facilities. We are seeking a qualified individual to act as a Coordinator and local presence between the operational staff in Paris, France and their partners in Armenia. For more information please visit us at: www.caucasus-naturefund.org Position title: Project Manager – Country Coordinator (Armenia) Hours: Full-time Location: Yerevan Salary: Commensurate with required experience and qualifications Roles and Responsibilities: In close cooperation with the Executive Director (ED) and staff in the CNF main office in Paris, to coordinate all aspects of CNF local activity, including: - Coordination of relations with the government (via the Ministry of Nature Protection) and other local NGO’s. - Coordination of grant agreements, to include some translation to local language. - Review of proposed Protected Area budgets, grant applications and reporting documentation. - Assistance with GEF/UNDP funding reporting and relations. - Site visits of Protected Areas and coordination of monitoring consultants. - Ensure the integration of reporting and monitoring results into future PA planning and budgeting. - Creation of open dialogue between the PA’s and CNF in terms of activities, projects and events in the parks. - Coordination of local major donor and partner outreach, including some PR activities. - Perform prospect research on corporations, local businesses, organizations and individuals to identify and evaluate prospective funders. - Coordination of visits by international donors. Requirements: Previous work experience in project management and coordination is required. Understanding of operational management of protected areas, understanding of best practices in business accounting and experience working with international organizations are viewed as assets. Good teamworking and oral and written communication skills are essential. You will be well organized, able to provide deliverables in a timely manner and identify priorities within the context of a project. You should have demonstrated flexibility to work with stakeholders in both the public and private sector and at a variety of levels. Fluency in Armenian and English required, Russian is a plus. You must be computer literate and proficient with common office software packages. Driver's license is a significant plus. Educational Requirement: The equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. Advanced degree is a plus.
