On February 23, 2012 the CRONIMET Charity Foundation together with the representatives of the CRONIMET Mining AG has visited the Children Care, Protection and Boarding Institution in Dilijan. Children have eagerly welcomed the Foundation’s employees, who have brought the computers and other equipment to the institution, as promised during their last New Year visit. Within the framework of this component of the Foundation’s assistance program, the computer lab of the institution has been fully re-equipped with necessary network and digital equipment. Further, upon children’s request, more than 180 new books were added to the library to ensure the productive evening spare time. To ensure the proper quality of the theater and dancing lessons given at the institution, the Foundation has provided modern professional sound system, which has immediately been used in the first performance of the dancing group. The Foundation staff has then discussed the current problems with the management of the institution and agreed on further steps of the assistance program. On the next day, the Foundation representatives has visited the Gavar Orphanage, where provided computer and equipment as well. Similar visit to Kapan N3 special school is scheduled for the upcoming days to update the computer lab in this school as envisaged in the regional assistance program of the Foundation. CRONIMET Charity Foundation while being in the first year of its operations has become an expected guest in number of regional special and boarding schools, and orphanages. The regional assistance program will continue to bring children with special needs opportunities to develop and realize themselves.
