VivaCell-MTS launches another developed support program to Armenian universities

Number of universities of Armenia will be equipped with internet access labs and Wi-Fi corners, to secure a modern format of quality education VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, gladly announces the launch of just another program of cooperation with universities of Armenia. The four years of continuous cooperation with the universities of Armenia are driven by VivaCell-MTS sense of responsibility towards the coming generations. The cooperation since 2009 in the frame of VivaCell-MTS Career Development Program includes ia number of projects: regular classes by VivaCell-MTS specialists organized for students; Open Door Days; internships; 3-day trainings for specialists of various fields (technical, commercial, information systems, legal, etc.); seminars on teaching methods and corporate responsibility for instructors; professional competitions; experience exchange; and educational funds providing scholarships for students from socially unprotected families. VivaCell-MTS has supported the university in equipping an auditorium with 12 computers with internet access and a Wi-Fi corner. To increase the productivity of the learning process the university is provided also with an interactive blackboard. Owing to this modern-day technological solution, the required information available with the instructor can now be easily shared with the students on the blackboard to help in managing the learning processes. “The way knowledge is shared is as important as the willingness to learn. The time sets its prerogatives and forces us to be more flexible in getting quality education. Probably, I won’t be mistaken, if I say that the Internet is one of the efficient ways of getting one. The universities will be provides with valuable equipment required for the organization of learning processes in due way, including videoconferencing equipment, servers, uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), switches, and other network equipment, in addition to the Wi-Fi corners.
