Question: Minister Nalbandian, what questions were discussed during today’s meeting between you and the NKR President? Answer: During the meeting, I informed President Sahakyan about the meeting with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs held in Paris. We exchanged views on the process of the negotiations conducted towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs permanently hold consultations with the leadership of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh), as well. Soon, in about ten days, the Co-Chairs will be in the region again and for that purpose will pay a visit to Stepanakert. I would like to once again emphasize that there can not be a settlement of the issue without the participation of Nagorno-Karabakh. Let me remind as well that ahead of the Kazan Summit held a year ago, we had voiced that there could not be any final agreement over the Basic Principles without the approval of Nagorno-Karabakh. And after agreement over the Basic Principles, it would be impossible to draft a peaceful agreement without the participation of Nagorno-Karabakh.
