THE UN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL DECIDED TO TAKE NOTE ACRPC QUADRENNIAL REPORT

The UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at its Substantive Session on July 23, 2012, decided to take note of the quadrennial report 2007-2010 submitted by the Armenian Constitutional Right-Protective Centre (ACRPC) NGO. The information about the above mentioned decision was sent to ACRPC on August 08, 2012 by Mr. Andrey Abramov, Head of the UN ECOSOC NGO Branch,. The ACRPC first quadrennial report of 2007–2010 on contributions to the work of the ECOSOC and the United Nations was submitted to UN ECOSOC in May 2011. The UN Committee on NGOs at its regular session held from January 30 to February 7, 2012, recommended ECOSOC to take note the ACRPC quadrennial report. About 3500 well-known NGOs from all regions of the world possess general and special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC. ACRPC was the first Armenian human rights NGO that was granted the status in 2007 and has its representatives in the UN Headquarters in New-York and in the UN Office at Geneva. Earlier in 2002, ACRPC was associated with the UN Department of Public Information as well. The ACRPC quadrennial report is attached.
