Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia participated in the 20th OSCE Ministerial Council

On December 5 the 20th Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) opened in Kyiv where the Armenian delegation headed by the Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian also participates.
Heads of Diplomacy of 57 Member States of the OSCE as well as around two dozens of high-ranking representatives of the international organizations take part in the Council.
On December 5th morning Edward Nalbandian participated in the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the CSTO Member States where the agenda issues of the  20th OSCE Ministerial Council where discussed. Foreign Ministers of the CSTO Member States adopted a joint statement on the “Helsinki+40” process.
During the meeting between Edward Nalbandian and the Foreign Minister of Finland Erkki Toumioja the sides had an exchange of views concerning the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union. Upon the request of the Foreign Minister of Finland Minister Nalbandian presented the approaches of Armenia for the resolution of the regional issues.
In Kyiv Foreign Minister also had a meeting with Zeev Elkin, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel. The sides discussed the ways of improvement of bilateral relations and exchanged views on the activation of consultations between the Foreign Ministries, deepening of inter-parliamentary ties, expanding legal framework and triggering of tourist visits.
During the meeting between Edward Nalbandian and Philippe Lefort, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, the recent developments in Nagorno-Karabakh resolution process were discussed.
In the meeting between Minister Nalbandian and  Ranko Krivokapic, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President, issues concerning the functioning of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly were touched upon, both sides stated the importance of the cooperation within parliamentary format.
