17 March, 2014, YEREVAN - Heifer Armenia with the support of the European Union organized Public Awareness Event on Youth Action for Regional Coherence and Cooperation (YARCC) project achievements on 14 March, 2014 in Yerevan. 
Member of the Coordinating Board of the Regional Youth Network Shogher Harutyunyan, said that the Board was established a month before in Tbilisi during the Intraregional Youth Conference. “We signed the Declaration of the Regional Youth Network last month and since then have been actively involved in the activities of the Coordinating Board,” Shogher said.
Shogher clarified that the Coordinating Board of the Regional Youth Network is now developing strategy and the operational plan for coordination of the Black Sea Basin Youth Network. “Each of the members of the board will be responsible for certain tasks,” she noted. “The members of the Coordinating Board will be responsible for managing the project website and the online forum where the youth from four partner countries will organize online debating and discussion sessions, initiate joint cultural events and involve each other in the activities of the Youth Clubs and Youth Centers in the Black Sea Basin region”, Shogher added.
Another member of the Regional Youth Network Shushan Grigoryan said that she is proud to be one of the participants of this project. “The project not only gave lots of knowledge and skills to us but also enabled us to communicate and cooperate with the young people from the partner countries engaged in the project,” she underlined. “This cooperation between the youth is very important because today’s youth is the future of the country”, Shushan stated.  
During the event the members of the Coordinating Board of Regional Youth Network (RYN) established in the framework of Youth Action for Regional Coherence and Cooperation project presented the achievements of the project and the future plans of the RYN. The official presentation of the project website was made for the guests and the young people from rural communities of Armenia engaged in the project.
YARCC is co-financed by the European Union in the amount of 208,104.23 EURO through the European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument. The project is implemented in close partnership with Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia. Young people at the age of 18-30 are engaged in the project from all four partner countries.  The overall objective of the Action is to contribute to regional partnerships and cooperation towards a common and cohesive cultural environment where common values and the richness of Europe’s cultural diversity are shared and valued. The project began in May 2013 and its duration is 12 months.
