Armenian Genocide Commemoration Event at the U.S. Congress

On April 27, the annual event commemorating the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the United States Congress.
 
Some twenty members of the U.S. Congress, including Senator Robert Menendez, Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee and Co-Chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Congressmen Frank Pallone and Robert Dold, as well as Ambassador of Armenia Grigor Hovhannissian and the Representative of Nagorno-Karabakh Robert Avetisyan made remarks at the event, attended by the leaders of  Armenian-American community organizations.
 
Members of the Congress addressed the ongoing military aggression of Azerbaijan and deplored the atrocities committed against Nagorno-Karabakh and its civilian population, calling for immediate discontinuation of any kind of U.S. military aid to Azerbaijan.
 
The 101th Armenian Genocide commemoration event was attended by the representatives of Hellenic, Assyrian and Kurdish community organizations.
