Conference on “Follow-up to the Recommendations of International Election Observation Missions in Armenia”

YEREVAN, 14 February 2017 – In the framework of the Project “Long-term electoral assistance to the election related stakeholders of Armenia” the Council of Europe organised a Conference titled “Follow-up to the Recommendations of International Election Observation Missions in Armenia”. The aim of the Conference was to take stock of the situation with regard to the implementation of the recommendations of International Election Observation Missions in Armenia in order to identify a system for their follow-up. 
 
The country-specific Project “Long-term electoral assistance to the election related stakeholders of Armenia” is funded within the European Union and Council of Europe Programmatic Co-operation Framework in the Eastern Partnership Countries for 2015-2017 (http://eap-pcf-eu.coe.int). 
 
At the Conference key speakers included H.E. Mr Piotr Antoni Świtalski, Ambassador, Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Armenia, Ms Natalia Voutova, Head of Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, Mr Arthur Hovhannisyan, RA First Deputy Minister of Justice, and Mr Tigran Mukuchyan, Chair of RA Central Electoral Commission.
