Newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to RA hands his
credentials to RA President

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. Newly appointed
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to RA
Masaharu Kohno (residence Moscow) handed his credentials to RA
President Serzh Sargsyan on November 2. The Ambassador assured
that he will do his utmost for further development of bilateral
relations.
S. Sargsyan, in his turn, mentioned that there is still
much work to do in the issue of development of bilateral
economic relations. Thanking the government of Japan for
assistance provided to Armenia and for supporting development
programs he mentioned: "The grants, technical assistance and
privileged credits provided by the Japanese government are of
too much importance for us. I attach special importance and
think that it is a success, the modernization program of Yerevan
TPP, which will give Armenian economy a possibility to develop,
will also weaken social tension to some extent."
According to RA President's Press Office, the sides agreed
that the two countries have a great potential of economic
cooperation, which should be used completely.
The interlocutors also exchanged thoughts over
normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations. The Ambassador said
that the Japanese government completely supports that process.
