According to Russian ambassador, activity of ArmRusgazprom
is one of best manifestations of economic cooperation between
Armenia and Russia

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, NOYAN TAPAN. The Russian Ambassador
to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko on November 25 visited
ArmRusgazprom company where he met with the company's staff.
Karen Vardanian, Chairman of the Board and Director General
of ArmRusgazprom, presented the company's activity and
financial-economic indices, noting that the company is currently
a leader by its authorized capital, assets, and fixed assets. In
recent years its investment package exceeded 750 million USD,
with main investments being made in two largest projects of
strategic importance in the gas and energy sector: construction
of the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline and modernization of the 5th
power unit of the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant.
K. Karapetian pointed out the diversification and dynamic
development of the business as the task of the company. In his
words, their strategic goal is to become a gas and energy
company of regional importance, as the current potential opens
great opportunities for participation in regional energy
projects.
Ambassador Kovalenko said that both sides are interested in
promoting Armenian-Russian cooperation in all directions, first
of all in the economy and the energy sector. According to him,
the activity of ArmRusgazprom is one of the best manifestations
of this cooperation.
