Armenian Trade Network (ATN) 3-rd Awards ceremony has taken place within the framework of the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Conference. Established six years ago ATN is a new platform for Armenian business organizations. It aims to promote linkages within the global Armenian business community by giving Armenian bilateral chambers of commerce the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences.

 

 

 

At the ATN Awards Ceremony the 2017 “Business Personality of the Year” Award was given to VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian, the “Global Achievement Award” - to Executive Director of the Bank of Sharjah (UAE) Varouj Nerguizian, the “Armenian Business Excellence Award” - to “Apaven” CJSC General Manager Arsen Ghazaryan, and the “Investor in Armenia Award” - to the founder of “Viasphere Technopark” CJSC Tony Moroyan.

 

 

 

The business forum and the annual conference, organized in collaboration with the ATN and the Government of Armenia, hosted high-level officials and numerous private sector and NGO representatives from both Armenia and Diaspora. The first session of the ATN Business Forum discussed “The Potential of Diaspora Business and Professional Networks”. It was launched by former Minister of Finance of Romania, currently senator Varoujan Vosganian who talked on the significant role of transnational networks.  The second session focused on the promotion of Armenia-Diaspora economic cooperation, in particular, on issues related to the local investment environment, Syrian Armenians’ business experiences, issues related to Artsakh’s economy and the IT sector model.

 

 

 

ATN counts among its membership 14 Diaspora and Armenia-based business organizations. The events are organized every two years.
