Arayik Harutyunyan and German parliamentarians discussed further development of bilateral relations

On May 29, Chairman of the “Free Homeland” party Arayik Harutyunyan received the parliamentary delegation of the "Alternative for Germany" (AfD) party, which included members of the Bundestag, Stephen Koiter, Steffen Kotre, the deputies of the Bundestag of the Land Brandenburg Andreas Kalbitz and Andreas Galau and the deputy of the "My Step" faction of the Republic of Armenia Viktor Yengibaryan, who arrived in Artsakh with them.
 
Arayik Harutyunayn welcomed the guests on the occasion of visiting Artsakh once again and congratulated the party for its success in the elections to the European Parliament.
 
Mr. Harutyunayn also expressed hope that it will create new opportunities to expand the level of cooperation in the near future.
 
"I am glad that we have a long history of cooperation, and the relations existing between our parties have constantly developed.
 
I am convinced that all the prerequisites have been created to form qualitatively new relationships,“ noted Harutyunyan.  At the guests' request, presenting the party's upcoming plans, A. Harutyunyan noted that in case of having success in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections next year, they are going to make the health care services in Artsakh free through the introduction of the state insurance system. As Harutyunyan noted, they will pay serious attention to the quality of medical services.
 
Mr. Harutyunyan also noted that education at higher education institutions will be mostly free; in addition, the requirements for the education quality will be increased. The Chairman of the "Free Homeland" party also touched upon the dynamics of economic growth in the republic, as well as the possibilities of expanding bilateral relations.
 
Members of the Bundestag have expressed willingness to implement various cooperation programs on the practical platform, using party channels as well. "We are impressed with our cooperation with your party. We assure you that we have enough political will to develop those relations and expand direct contacts of Germany with Artsakh,” Andreas Kalbitz, the head of the delegation noted.
 
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues related to the establishment of friendship circle in Germany,the organization of regular hearings on expressing  a clear position on the Artsakh issue in the European Parliament, as well as the implementation of humanitarian programs through various foundations.
 
 
Remind, the “Free Homeland”and “Alternative for Germany” parties have been cooperating since 2015. During that time, the delegations of the two parties made mutual visits,
