On April 21, 2011 AGMI organized a ceremony dedicated to prominent Scandinavian missionaries Maria Jacobsen and Alma Johansson: the soils brought from their graves were placed in the “Memorial Wall” and memorial plaques were set. The citizens from Scandinavian countries and deputies from Swedish Parliament are in the Republic of Armenia to take part in this ceremony. The placement of the missionaries’ soils in the “Memorial Wall” was accompanied by a requiem of liturgy. At the end of the ceremony the guests from Scandinavian countries planted a Scandinavian Tree at the Memorial Alley in a memory of Scandinavian Armenophils.
