Any pan Armenian initiative is welcomed and participation of architectures in the first all Armenian event initiated by the newly established Diaspora ministry is symbolic, since "in general, Armenian national architecture has always been one of the most vivid qualities of our national character". Hrayr Karapetian, vice speaker of the RA National Assembly, member of ARF «Dashnaktsutyun» fraction, opened with these words «The Armenian Architecture and 21st century» conference took place in the Parliament on April 21. The audience of more than 80 Diasporan Armenians from 15 countries gathered at the National Assembly building. Ms. Hranush Hakobyan, minister of Diaspora, also participated also participated in the meeting.
