YEREVAN BEER CJSC INCREASES BEER PRODUCTION BY 10% THIS

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, NOYAN TAPAN. Yerevan Beer CJSC produced 630 thousand decaliters of "Kilikia" beer in January-October 2007, which exceeds by 10% the index of the same period of last year. Besides, in the indicated period the company produced 10 types of natural juices and soft drinks, which is more by 12% and 7% respectively as compared with January-October 2006. The company's deputy director Armen Hayrian told NT correspondent that this year their company produced beer in tin containers for the first time in Armenia's brewing history, and it is envisaged producing beer and soft fizzy drinks in 0.5-liter tin containers until New Year. According to A. Hayrian, "Kiliakia" beer occupies 60% of the domestic market and is exported to the US, Russia, France, Greece and Georgia. Agreements have been reached to export the Armenian beer to other countries.
