THREE OUT OF FIVE MEMBERS TO TAKE PART IN SITTING OF CIS
COUNCIL OF JUSTICE MINISTERS TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. The second sitting of the
Council of the Ministers of Justice of the CIS member states
will be held in Yerevan on October 11-12. According to the
information provided to a Noyan Tapan correspondent by Lana
Mshetsian, the Spokesperson of the RA Ministry of Justice, the
three out of the five member countries of the council: Armenia,
Belarus and Russia (the first two at the level of the Minister,
and Russia the Deputy Minister), will take part in the sitting.
V. Gimmer, the responsible secretary of the Council, will also
take part in the sitting. The representatives of the other two
countries: Kirkizstan and Tadzhikistan, will not arrive in
Yerevan for valid reason. Issues concerning legal reforms and
the development prospects of the legal system in the member
states of the Council will be discussed , as well as decisions
are envisaged to be made during the sitting.
The Council of Justice Ministers was created by the August
26, 2005 decision of the Council of CIS member states' leaders.
The first sitting was held on April 12, 2006 in Moscow, the
second one is envisaged to be held in Belarus in 2008.
