YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, NOYAN TAPAN. The trial on the case of murder of Sedrak Zatikian, the son of the former prefect of Yerevan's Malatia-Sebastia community, will be held behind closed doors starting September 24. Noyan Tapan correspondent learnt that the court presided over by judge Tigran Petrosian made that decision on September 23, meeting the request of one of the defendants, Arsen Arushanian, to secure his defence right. It should be mentioned that the case was brought to the court on the part of 3 out of 5 defendants: Arsen Arushanian is accused of murdering S. Zatikian and passer-by Karine Sargsian on June 22, 2006, and Artur Hovhannisian and Lusine Ghevondian of assisting in commitment of the murder. The case on the part of the defendants being searched for, persons ordering and instigating the murder, Narek Khachatrian and Stepan Hakobian, was separated into an individual examination. The first court sitting fixed for September 14 failed, as the defendants did not come to the court, the reason of which was not piblicized. An unprecedented number of Police representatives was present to provide security at the court.
