ASSISTANCE TO BE PROVIDED TO ANOTHER 10 STUDENTS BY
MATEVOSIAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM THIS YEAR

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, NOYAN TAPAN. This year the Fund for
Armenian Relief (FAR) will cover study expenditures of another 10
socially insecure families' students by the Matevosian
Scholarship program. As Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed
by Levon Lachikian, the FAR Spokesperson, three out of these
students are from Yerevan, seven from the regions. Five out of
them study in Economics faculty, two in Philological faculty,
one in Law faculty, one in Informatics, and one in International
Relations faculty.
It should be mentioned that it is already the 11th year
that this program is implemented in Armenia with the financing
of benefactor Anush Matevosian residing in New York. In total,
41 students had submitted bids to be involved in this program
this year.
L. Lachikian also said that at present the number of
students-program's beneficiaries is 56. They study at YSU,
Yerevan State Economic and Yerevan State Engineering
Universities.
