THERE ARE NO SERIOUS DISAGREEMENTS BETWEEN ARMENIAN AND
RUSSIAN CUSTOMS SYSTEMS

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, NOYAN TAPAN. A regular sitting of
representatives of customs services of CIS member states was
held in Yerevan on September 18. According to the head of the
Customs Activity Improvement Unit of the RA State Customs
Committee Gagik Karian, issues related to transportation of
goods through the customs border of CIS countries were discussed
at the sitting. He said that one of the important problems
related to customs procedures is the introduction of a single
Asikuda system, which enables to facilitate customs registration
among CIS member states.
G. Karian noted that in 2006, the share of CIS member
states in Armenia's exports has increased to 21%, while their
share in imports from CIS member states has made 31% as compared
with 18% and 28% in the previous year. In the first nine months
of this year exports made 30%. imports - 33%.
Representative of the Russian customs service Natalia
Vorontsova stated that there are no serious disagreements
between the customs systems of Armenia and Russia.
