AS OF TODAY, 14 SCHOOL-LEAVERS PLACE ORDERS FOR GOLD MEDAL

YEREVAN, MAY 21, NOYAN TAPAN. The order of school-leaving and transfer exams of secondary schools has already been affirmed. As Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Karo Areyan stated at the May 21 press conference, the graduates this year will pass the entrance exams of institutions of higher education on the Armenian Language, Literature subject by a new, joint system. In his words, the exam will be held at the A and B levels, that's, the gratuates will pass the school-leaving exam in their schools (A level), and the entrance exam at the joint examination centers (B level). K. Areyan stated that the number of graduates at secondary educational institutions under the subjection of the Yerevan Mayor's Office make 11384 people, 4391 of who placed orders with the Knowledge and Testing Center to pass the exam on the Armenian Language, Literature subject at the joint B level. 119 schoolleavers of the previous years will also pass the exam on the given subject by the joint system. It was also mentioned that 14 school leavers placed orders for medal at the moment. In K. Areyan's words, they will pass the exam on the Armenian Language, Literature subject by the joint system, and on the Mathematics subject by the centralized system of the previous years. The Deputy Mayor mentioned that the transfer exams on the Armenian Language (dictation) and Mathematics (written) subjects of the 3rd grade pupils will be held this year on June 1-5, and the school-leaving exams of the 8th and 10th grade pupils will be held on June 1-20. The 8th grade pupils will pass exams on the Armenian Language, Mathematics, Foreign Languages, Armenian History, Biology and Physical Education, and the 10th grade pupils will pass exams on the Mathematics, Armenian History, Biology, Foreign Languages and Physical Education subjects as well, besides the Armenian Language, Literature subject.
