YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. Within the framework of the Year of Armenia in Russia, days of Armenian culture took place from October 29 to November 1 in the region of Sverdlovsk, with participation of the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia and Yerevan State Pantomime Theater. Artur Poghosian, the RA Deputy Minister of Culture and Youth Issues headed the Armenian cultural delegation. As Artur Poghosian stated at the November 6 press conference, the official opening ceremony of the Armenian cultural days took place at the Yekaterinburg State Music Comedy Theater on October 30, with performance of the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia. In the Deputy Minister's words, the cultural days were held at a high level and the Armenian collectives performed at the best concert halls and theater stages. During those days the Armenian delegation members have meetings with Minister of Culture of the region of Sverdlovsk N.Vetrova and other officials of the region. Future programs of the cultural cooperation were discussed and planned during the meeting.
