ISLE OF MAN, OCTOBER 2, NOYAN TAPAN. Traditional international chess tournament ended on October 1 on the English island Isle of Man. Grand master Vladimir Hakobian took 8th place gaining 6 out of 9 possible points among 94 participants. Ukrainian Alexander Areshchenko and Russian Sergei Volkov shared 1-2nd places with 7 points each. Another 5 chess-players shared 3-7th places with 6.5 points each.
