YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, NOYAN TAPAN. A concert of the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the independence of Armenia will take place in the Zvartnots temple on September 22-23. The concert is held with the assistance of the RA Ministry of Culture and Youth Issues, Foreign Ministry and "Hayastan" (Armenia) All-Armenian Foundation. Tigran Mansurian's, Edvard Hayrapetian's, David Halajian's works will be performed at the concert. Aida Amirkhanian, a dancer living in America, and the Greek "Typana" percussion instruments ensemble will participate in the concert by the orchestra's invitation. As the Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed by Aram Gharabekian, the artistic head and conductor of the orchestra, the jubilee, 10th, concert season of the orchestra will start with the concert to take place in the Zvartnots temple. A.Gharabekian mentioned that, specially for this concert, new sound and light equipment were brought from abroad, and 1000-place amphitheatre was built in the Zvartnots temple. "Though a number of cultural events were held in the Zvartnots temple, this concert will differ from others," A.Gharabekian mentioned. In his words, the Armenian people has dreamed for centuries about the independence. "Of course, there were difficulties after adopting the independence, we had many losses during the transitional period, but we must be sensible and continue keeping and developing all those what we have reached during those years," the head of the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia said. At the same time he mentioned that in spite of the stormy concert activity, however, the orchestra has no normal conditions to create, particularly, to hold rehearsals. In A.Gharabekian's words, cafes, functioning in the park next to the Chamber Music House, damage with their everyday noisy music the creative atmosphere, rehearsals and concerts of the Chamber Orchestra. And though the orchestra head regularly addresses to state bodies, but the situation does not change. As A.Gharabekian mentioned there are numerous concert halls and theaters in Yerevan where the State Chamber Orchestra will have possibility to create normally and to implement numerous cultural programs.
