GAVAR, JUNE 27, NOYAN TAPAN. The Paid Public Work Program
is gathering momentum in the city of Gavar. The stairs leading
to Freedom Stret of the city are being repaired and partly
constructed under this program that envisages payments for those
carrying out public work of various kinds.
The program envisages remuneration for workers only, while
financial and material expenses have to be covered by the
mayor's office and private businessmen. This year, about 200
thousand drams (about 480 USD) has been allocated from the
reserve fund of the Gavar city budget for these activities.
Hovhannes Pipoyan, Chairman of the Shinjokat construction
organization, has also made investments: he is supplying
building materials at his own expense to prevent any
interruptions in the work process.
