GIVEN TO KYRGHYZ WOMAN FILM DIRECTOR GAUKHAR SIDIKOVA

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. The grand prix in the "Best Film" nomination of the "Woman" second international film festival held on December 15-18 in Yerevan was given to Kyrghyz woman film director Gaukhar Sidikova for her "Window" film and the special prize was given to American woman film director Rebekka Baron for her film under the title "How Little We Know about Our Neighbors." As Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed by the festival office, besides the grand prix and special prizes, 6 participants received diplomas. According to the same source, 26 out of 50 films presented to the festival participated in the competition. Films by both women and men film directors were presented to the competition's "Panorama" program.
