YEREVAN, August 23 (Noyan Tapan). The republican championship of "Russian Pyramid" was held at the Armenian Billiard Federation Club. 37 representatives of different regions and cities participated in it. The tournament was held by the half-Olympic round competition. Participants who are twice defeated drop out of further contention. Sport master Misak Hakhoyan, many times champion (Yerevan), beating Tigran Ghazarian (Gyumri) in the finals, again acquired the title of the Armenian champion. Armen Mikayelian (Yerevan) was the third prize holder. It should be mentioned that six Armenian representatives will perform in the "Caucasus Cup" international billiard tournament to be held in Tbilisi in September.
