Today, the Ministry of Culture hosted a joint press conference presided by the United States Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian, Deputy Minister of Culture Arthur Pogosyan and the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia Armen Smbatyan.

 

On May 15 and 16, at the Aram Khachaturian concert hall the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia will present the “Hollywood Non-Stop” concert program. The General Partner of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia is VivaCell-MTS, which has also sponsored the concert program. The partner of the “Hollywood Non-Stop” is the Embassy of the United States in Armenia. The concert is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture in the Republic of Armenia. The program of the concert includes soundtracks of the famous American movies - “Gladiator”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “The Godfather”, “Once Upon a Time in America”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Star Wars”, “The Mission” and many more. The permission for the concert performance of the works was obtained from the film producers.

 

“Hollywood Non-Stop” program has already gained popularity among the audiences. It was launched in 2012 and was presented in 8 universities of Armenia, where more than 6000 students have listened to the melodies of the Hollywood films.

 

In 2013 the “Hollywood Non-Stop” was also presented in the regions of the republic, particularly Gyumri, Vanadzor, Yeghegnadzor, and Artashat. The performances of the Youth Orchestra have received a warm reception everywhere. The audiences have highly appreciated both the performance of the Hollywood movies and the efforts of the orchestra to bring classical music to the regions.

 

The joint project aims to invite more focus of the younger generation to the classical music by the means of offering more comprehendible and easy music to their attention.
