On June 26 a modern laboratory of robotics was solemnly opened at the “Ayb” high school.
The management of the school, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian, the robotics team headed by teacher Vazgen Gabrielyan as well as students of the robotics class attended the ceremony. The sponsor of the opened lab was VivaCell-MTS. The Company has allocated more than 14 million drams for the implementation of the project.
With the high expertise and the aptitudes of the Armenians in technical sciences, and led by the vision to develop a high-tech-based economy in Armenia, VivaCell-MTS is consistent in supporting high technologies, particularly the projects aimed at the development of the robotics. The company believes that an innovative system of education is the basis of sustainable future, and the younger generation’s interest towards the robotics need to be seeded from the school age.
“We have great intellectual potential – mind our elder generation of academics, engineers, and first of all our children – they are the creators of the future of the country. Our future depends on the young people we have today. Therefore, the basis of a quality economic future for Armenia is to be built today by raising thoughtful, creative, strong, committed citizens and patriots,” mentioned VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
For several years in a row, “Ayb” educational foundation has been opening modern educational model laboratories in Yerevan and the regions for different discipline. The “Ayb” designs and creates model laboratories and develops the methodology of teaching.
The first labs in physics and chemistry were opened in the school with technical specialization after A. Shahinyan in Yerevan. The next was the “AybLab” in Berd, then two environmental classes in two schools in Qajaran, classrooms of physics, chemistry and biology are opened in school number 4 in Vagharshapat, similar labs are underway in the capital and the regions.
The “AybLab” modern educational laboratories are deigned and created by the “Ayb” foundation. The labs are in compliance with all the modern requirements for equipment, facilities, furbishing, safety and management. The “AybLab” network provides experience of exchange, shared exploitation of resources (print and video library, mooting software), usage of shared management technologies, joint procurements, etc.
The “AybLabs” are based on the local and international experience, give students an opportunity to be personally involved in experiments, are in line with the latest technological requirements, meet the safety and ergonomic standards, give virtual and real life experimentation opportunities, provide means to organize studies on both school and professional levels, as well as facilitate to making the learning a smart process.
