From the day it was founded in the year 2000,  Orran has embraced hundreds of elderly providing them a safe and warm haven.  At Orran, the eldery receive a daily hot meal, enjoy their leisure time and find spiritual enrichment.  

 

Because they share the same vision , for the last seven years, Orran has joined hands with  VivaCell-MTS.  With this  partnership, Orran has been able  to successfully carry out its mission of helping families in need and assist hundreds of children who have found themselves or were at the dangerous threshold  of finding themselves on the streets.  The children have been provided with food, social, medical and psychological services, vocational training and care without which it is difficult to imagine their future.  

 

Orran’s friends are all over the world, among them are renowned vocal artist Serj Tankian and his wife Angela Madatian.  Because of their generous donation Orran in the month of February was able to start an elderly soup kitchen program for 30 needy elderly in its center in Vanandzor.   

 

On April 14,  Orran and -VivaCell-MTS organized a concert, this time with the participation of the elderly of Orran.  The concert called Let Springs come and Not Go  took place at the Mher Mkrtchyan theater.  The participants were greeted by Mr. Ralph Yirikian, General Manager of VivaCell MTS and Mr. John Heffern, Ambassador of the United States of America.  The repertoire for the concert included songs with lyrics by famous poets, folk songs, pop music from the 80s and piano performances.  

 

Orran welcomes VivaCell MTS’s assistance within its corporate social responsibility policy in helping Orran to realize some of its major projects.    The success of this partnership comes to provide a great service to the public at large.
