The cooperation of Youth Orchestra, Suren Bagratuni and Hirofumi Yoshida took place (Vidio)

On 17th of October in the framework of the 3rd Khachaturian International Festival two concerts were held. At the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia performed with world-famous musicians: Suren Bagratuni (cello/USA) and Hirofumi Yoshida (conductor/Japan).
Under the baton of renowned Japanese conductor Hirofumi Yoshida, the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia represented "Vltava" Symphonic Poem from "My Homeland" series by Bedřich Smetana, Cello Concerto in B minor (soloist Suren Bagratuni) and Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" by Antonin Dvořák.
Cellist Suren Bagratuni said that he was very happy to participate in Khachaturian Festival especially in the concert dedicated to conductor David Khanjian. “Finally I met the State Youth Orchestra and enjoyed my meeting. The young musicians played masterly. This was the first time that I performed with conductor Hirofumi Yoshida. He is a very interesting musician and we easily found common line of communication”- Suren Bagratuni expressed his impressions after the concert.
This was the first visit of Hirofumi Yoshida to Armenia and he got great impressions from Yerevan. "I am happy to be here and to conduct the Youth Orchestra in the context of Khachaturian International Festival. I would like to thank the organizers for the invitation. The concert was attended by the Ambassador of Japan, and this means that such events help Japanese people to know more about Armenia and Armenians. And the audience was very cordial, very similar to Italian"-mentioned Hirofumi Yoshida.
Simultaneously, in the context of Khachaturian International Festival, on the stage of National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet was represented Khachaturian’s "Spartacus" ballet in 3 acts. The featured dancers were Ruben Muradyan (Spartacus), RA Honored Artist Jacqueline Sarkhoshyan (Phrygia), RA Honored Artist Maria Divanyan (Aegina), Grigor Grigoryan (Crassus), Honored Artist Zaven Harutyunyan (Gladiator).
It should be mentioned that the 3rd Khachaturian International Festival is held under the patronage of RA President Serzh Sargsyan. This musical celebration is realized by the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia (general partner VivaCell-MTS), with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture. The festival is sponsored by "Pyunik" Charitable Foundation, “Luding" Company, "Jermuk Group" and "Ani Plaza".
