FAR's children call everyone to join them and to spread peace in the world

On Tuesday, December 15, 2015, FAR’s Children’s Support Center’s “Circle of Friends” and representatives from embassies in Armenia participated in the Center’s event “Children Promote World Peace”.
Circle of Friends’ president Mrs. Bella Kocharyan, Circle of Friends’ members Mrs. JahavirTsarukyan, Arsen “Mro” Grigoryan, HrachuhiUtmazyan, NaniOskanyan, Nelly Duryan and AnahitHarutyunyan were all in attendance. The Deputy Ambassador of France to Armenia Nicolas Faye, Deputy Chief of the Yerevan Mission of the Czech Republic AniSaginyanovan, and participants from the United States, Belarus, and Indian embassies were also present.
The event began with a thematic play performed by the Center’s children, which was dedicated to recent global events that have made hundreds of people the victims of terrorism and violence across the world. The play and its message were very moving, and the children proved that their right to live in a peaceful world is enduring and incorruptible.
With the help of the Circle of Friends, the children assembled a large puzzle bearing the message “A Peaceful Sky for Children”. They encouraged representatives from the embassies to join them in spreading peace across the world, and gave each representative a symbolic white clay dove. The doves carry a promise for a peaceful 2016.
The Center’s children believe that they can express through art both their contempt for terrorism and abuse, and their hopes and dreams for a peaceful future. The play was followed by an exhibition of the children’s artworks entitled “Children Promote World Peace”. Through their art the children expressed their views against violence, and imagined a world without violence.
Lastly, the event concluded with an informative session for FAR’s Children’s Support Center’s Circle of Friends and representatives from the embassies. During the session the Center showcased a short video on the Circle of Friends’ 2015 activities with and for the Center’s children. The video highlighted the Center’s achievements, indicated future goals, discussedcrucialupcoming activities and suggested possibilities for cooperation between the Center (including the Circle of Friends) and embassy representatives.
By highlighting the importance of world peace and the stability such a world would bring, the Center and its children executed a moving and impressive event.
