The results of “WebApricot” 5th Pan-Armenian Online Film Festival were announced

The results of the “WebApricot” 5th Pan-Armenian Online Film Festival were summed up. The organizers of the festival are the “Golden Apricot” Yerevan International Film Festival and the webtv.am Armenian online cultural TV channel. VivaCell-MTS is the General Partner of the festival.
 
«The experimental project launched 5 years ago has now grown into an established Festival. This is the sustainable growth we always aim at reaching. And this is the enthusiasm we want to see among filmmakers. I am sure that the future will reveal more achievements of these young people and we will all be proud that they started their way from “WebApricot”», VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said.
 
The fifth edition of the “WebApricot” had launched on February 3. The Board of Jury – Mikael Dovlatyan (director), Ruzan Bagratuni (film journalist), and Gohar Hakobyan (journalist) - presented the results of the festival on March 3, having watched 24 films, which were submitted at the official YouTube channel of the webtv.am online cultural TV channel.
 
Upon the decision of the Jury, the 1st prize was shared by Lusine Papoyan for “Radiola” and Garik Avagyan for “I heard a sweet voice…”. The winners of the first prize will each receive a monetary award equal to AMD 200 000.
 
The festival also had an two incentive award and a special “Audience” award designed for the movie that would gather the largest number of views. The incentive prize was granted to the film “I wanted a studio” by Arpi Balyan.
 
The special audience award was granted to Arman Ayvazyan for the film “Crossroad” that had gathered 3018 views.
 
The winners of the main as well as the incentive prizes will have an opportunity to use professional movie making equipment free of charge for 10 days.
