THREE COMPANIES PASS PRE-QUALIFICATION STAGE OF TENDER FOR
THIRD MOBILE COMMUNICATION OPERATOR IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, AUGUST 27, NOYAN TAPAN. Out of six companies that submitted bids for participation in the tender for receiving a licence of the third mobile phone communication operator in Armenia and permission to use radio frequencies, three companies have passed the pre-qualification stage: Orange (owned by France Telecom), CEO Blackrock Communications (a consortium) and M$A Tele2 AB (Sweden), NT was informed by spokeswoman for the RA minister of transport and communication Susanna Tonoyan. Although 17 companies had expressed an intention to participate in the tender, only 4 of them (in addition to the above mentioned ones) have presented the necessary documents: V-Tel (Jordan), AB (Sweden), Auroratel (Russia) and PJ Engineering (Finland). The companies to have passed the prequalification stage must submit bids-proposals to the tender commission within 40 calendar days. After the discussion of their proposals, the winner will be announced.
