On April 16 Minister Nalbandian received Cornelia Pieper, the Minister of State of the Federal Republic of Germany. Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian underlined that in the recent years the interaction between Armenia and Germany in the political, economic, cultural, scientific and educational spheres has expanded and the opening of the German Center for Language Training would give a new impetus to the bilateral relations. The Minister of State Pieper mentioned that the visits of the German Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of State to Armenia during one month were the proof of the current level of the Armenian - German relations. The sides had a thorough talk on the Armenian-German bilateral agenda issues, and touched upon the developments unrolling in the South Caucasus and the neighboring regions. Minister Nalbandian and Minister of State Pieper touched upon the relations between Armenia and the European Union, expressing satisfaction with the progress achieved in that direction. The ways to expand the cooperation in cultural and scientific and educational spheres were on the agenda of the negotiations, as well.
