TBILISI, SEPTEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. The annual inflation rate has increased from 3,7 to 7% in July. As NBG informed CAUCASUS PRESS, change of fruit and vegetable prices affected the inflation in July. In particular, prices decreased on tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, water-melon, apples and peaches. Cabbage, beans, cheese, vegetable oil and powdered detergents rose in price. In July reduction of prices was fixed on the following categories: food products, strong drinks (0.5%), healthcare (1%). Prices rose on furniture, household appliances and equipment (3,2%). In comparison with July 2009 the consumer goods prices rose by 7%. Prices rose on petrol and diesel (26.8, 42.4%). The increase of annual inflation rate was caused by vegetable prices rise (9,8%), sugar and pastry (22.6%), bakery products (3.3%), meat and meat products (4.8%), fruit (20.9%, vegetable oils and fats 98.8%. Price rise was fixed in the following categories: education (50.3%), transport (8.5%), healthcare (3.9%), gas, water, power (2.3%) strong drinks and cigarettes (6.3%).
