On the 3rd of September an open day was held at Gary Davtyan Puppet and Culture House. This wonderful tradition has been established many years ago, and is dedicated to the memory of deceased puppeteer and master Gary Davtyan. On the 3rd of September Gary Davtyan was born and the puppet theater was founded in Tbilisi. In the difficult and challenging days of the 90s’ at the initiative of the mechanical engineer Gary Davtyan and his wife Jhana Davtyan as a symbol of longevity the first puppets were created, and the Armenian folk-tale  “Nazar the Brave” was presented at Tbilisi State Drama Theatre after Petros Adamyan.
The premiere took place on September 3. And every year on September 3 at Gary Davtyan Puppet and Culture House an open day is held. And even this time the tradition was observed. Gary Davtyan Puppet and Culture House was crowded again, people came to congratulate deceased, but watching over us from heaven Master Gary on his birthday and the birthday of the family puppet theatre created by him. 
The headmistress of the cultural house Jhana Davtyan opened the celebration. She anxiously expressed her gratitude to the audience, the people who were acquainted with master Gary, who had known him only according to the stories, who visited this wonderful world of puppets for the first time, and came to honor the memory of master Gary. Mrs. Jhana also noted that even during Gary Davtyan’s lifetime the house had not been as crowded on his birthday as it was that day. 
In honor of the great day everyone expressed kind words and it was mentioned that on the 3rd of September an open day would be always solemnly held at the puppet theatre.
