CSTO AND EURASIA’S SECURITY

On October 23-25, 2013 “Noravank” Foundation in cooperation with the CSTO Analytical Association held “CSTO and Eurasia’s Security” conference in Yerevan. The conference aimed to create expert ground for eager discussion of the regional political and military developments.

Within the framework of his speech the coordinator of the CSTO Analytical Association N.Panarin also presented Association’s report on “Collective Security Treaty Organization and Eurasia’s Security”.

G. Harutyunyan, Director of “Noravank” Foundation, A. Safaryan, chairman of the “Integration and Development” NGO, G. Tishenko, Head of the Center for Defense Researches of the Russian Institute for the Strategic Studies, S. Sarukhanyan, Deputy Director of “Noravank” Foundation, S. Porkhachev, Head of the Ural branch of the “Eurasian Partnership Development Foundation”, and other participants of the conference addressed the meeting.

Members of the National Assembly of RA, political scientists, representatives of the embassies accredited in Armenia, analysts, experts, journalists and young scholars participated in the conference.

Within the framework of the conference the issues of communication and humanitarian security of Eurasia, role and place of the ideology of Eurasianism, problems and goals of the Eurasian researches in Armenia, military and political situation in the region, participation of the CSTO in provision of the security of RA and NKR as well as role of the youth in formation of the secure Eurasian space were discussed.
