Ensuring the safety of children stays at the heart of Police’ attention as one of the key directions of its activities. Special significance is prescribed to road safety issues: teaching traffic rules to children, instilling in them the understanding of the necessity to unconditionally follow road safety rules, and bringing up law-abiding citizens. Regular open classes at schools, visits of young people to police stations and close cooperation with parents and representatives of the sphere of education are directed towards the implementation of these objectives.

The Police are convinced that guidance to children should begin at an elementary school or even pre-school age. One of the first steps in applying this principle is the “Little Policeman” game-manual which is addressed to first class schoolchildren. The manual will help the children master traffic rules on their own, teach them the road signs, as well as provide information about emergency situations.

The “Little Policeman” is being distributed among the first-grade schoolchildren. Taking into consideration the fact that the traffic is especially heavy in large cities, 426 first grades of the capital will receive the manual on March 31, 2015.

As a socially-responsible Company, having supported numerous awareness and public education programs targeted to children, VivaCell-MTS extended hands to the initiative of the Police by allocating about AMD 14 million for the publication of 1000 copies of the electronic game-manual.

The launch time of the project is linked with the coming summer vacations, when children regularly spend more time outdoors and will no doubt need the knowledge of road safety rules.
