On 8 May within the frameworks of celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day, the Day of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Defense Army and Liberation of Shoushi President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan hold in his residence a solemn ceremony of awarding.
In his speech the President qualified May 9 as one of the most valuable and cherished holidays for our nation, the embodiment and symbol of our glorious victories.
He remarked that the holiday became possible through our nation’s devotion and valor, patriotism and self-dedication, at the cost of shed blood and sacrifices.
“We are proud of the feats of heroism and courage of our fathers and grandfathers, as well as our present-day heroes, and regret that numerous devoted sons of our nation do not share today this joy”, said Bako Sahakyan.
The Head of the State outlined that the Artsakh people due to their heroic spirit and devotion go on building their native country, strengthen the army, ensure state security, and develop the economy. “Tripled with Mother Armenia and the Diaspora we will further on do our best to ensure prosperity for Artsakh and carve its secure future”, mentioned in his speech Bako Sahakyan.
