Cannes winner Nuri Bilge Ceylan is in “Golden Apricot”

“Golden Apricot” International Film Festival gives its usual surprise to a spectator. In the frames of Yerevan premieres Turkish famous director Nuri Bilge Ceylan will present his “Once upon a time in Anatolia” film which is the winner of Cannes International Festival. Nuri Bilge Ceylan became famous for his first “Estrangement” film presented in Cannes. The main hero of “Once upon a time in Anatolia” film is a doctor living in Anatolia. The stories of different inhabitants in the same city are presented in the film. According to the director the life in small cities is like walking in prairies. Presenting the characters in strange situations Ceylan often offers eccentric solutions to the spectator showing the bright and cruel sides of the life. The 8th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival will be held on June 10-17, due to the faithful partners, such as the chief sponsor VivaCell-MTS Company and the RA Ministry of Culture as a state supporter.
